So this is probably
about as good as it gets; I was completely in the zone—in the Venn
diagram of time, energy and drive, I manged to find myself in the point
of total intersection and got a lot done. I wish I could say the rest of
the game development will go like this, but I doubt it.
• Initial Release! Version 0.001 is now available, consisting of most of the first three days (aka the intro) of the game.
• Incorporated story text up to the end of Day 3 into the game engine. About 56,000 words and 60+ player decisions
• Refined some of the old character designs, and made designs for a couple of characters who didn’t have them yet.
• “Created” more backgrounds. Refined the process a bit.
• “Created” lots of of new artwork for special scenes.
•
Putting scripts into the engine revealed a lot of story issues and
missing scenes. I’ve been working on adding the essential ones, and
finding ways for the game to skip the unimportant ones (for now).
