Whew! The next update is finally starting to come together. I have most of my new scripts finally coded in the engine, with all of the menus (hopefully) linked up properly.

Having everything in the engine makes it more obvious when there are scenes missing, so I’m either going to need to get those written up quickly, or just block off the options for the next release.

Biggest task left to get through before I can release is all of the special CGs; and, between the things I added in to Day 1 and what I need for Day 4, it looks like it’s going to be a lot of them. I’m making progress on them, but there are still a lot to go.

Still, I’m seeing light at the end of the tunnel, so we’re not too far off now.

• Put the majority of Day 4 scripts (game is at ~95,000 words) into the engine and got all of the links and menus working properly.
• Did the initial graphics pass for all new scenes in the engine, and made note of everything that needs a special CG.
• Created new hotel backgrounds for scenes that required them.
• Created the first graphical menu since character generation at the beginning of the game. This one can be found in a certain scene towards the end of Day 1.
• Did more planning work on the systems that will govern most of the gameplay from Day 5 on.
