Whoops!

Just wanted to post a quick apology to those of you who are following my Tumblr blog. As i increase the number of places where I post updates, I find that I’ve been spreading myself a little thin, and neglected to keep this page updated.

(I’m still not completely thrilled with this platform, but picked it as it was one of the few that would allow adult content if I chose to post it. Lately, I’ve been so invested in working on Interns that I haven’t really had time to consider working on this blog or finding an alternative.)

The biggest news (if you’ve missed it), is that the latest release of the game is version 0.011b. You can find links to download the game, and to the discussion thread on the IGDB page, here:

Current Status: February 2017

I wasn’t sure if I should post an update for this month, since I did a release, but I had a little time so i figured I’d write something up. Here’s what I’ve been up to:

• Major new version released in January, followed by an updated version with a bunch of new graphics, and a quick third version with a fix for the major bug (I accidentally added to the second).
• Spent a considerable amount of time working on ways to improve graphics for the future. Made some exciting progress, but had some big setbacks, too (currently ended up breaking the studio entirely, and I’m working on figuring out what I did wrong). Hopefully the end results will be characters with better skin for closeups, more clothing/accessory options, better control over poses and the camera.
• Lots of work has been going into building the Lust/Arousal system. I’m about ready to start some basic test implementations.
• Did some research on special effects in Ren’Py, with excellent results. Hopefully this will allow me to add visual feedback for various “status effects” for the PC.
• More UI work. Along with adding all kinds of stats, there needs to be ways to communicate the information to the player. I’ve been building some interface elements, working them into the game code and doing some rough testing.
• Story idea brainstorming. I’ve been jotting down a lot of ideas as they come to me. Working on the stat system has been presenting a lot of potential story ideas as well. Most so far have been for “Phase 2,” which is the part of the internship where I think most of the “fun” stuff will start happening.
