This was another painful build for me. I’d been attempting to focus on some quality-of-life improvements and a few new scenes, but ended up with a whole lot of big bugs to fix.
I’m happy to say there should be a lot of stuff working correctly now: You can work for Reika again, the wardrobe menu should appear and allow you to choose your clothing, the mini-events that were supposed to happen during work should be much more reliable (that last one had me learning some new things about Python again, and how I was doing it wrong…also again).
We’ve moved a bit closer to new features, with groundwork laid on expanded free-time activities allowing you to choose to visit each of the three bar locations. The phone system has some slight expansion (one of the reasons for the save-breaking changes) that’s intended to work with the expanded club, poolside and beach options.
Joan and Renata each got a sprite rework to help better portray their transformations. They’ve gotten some alternate ways to meet them as well. (Sadly, you’ll be fairly unlikely to see all of Joan’s versions in the game just yet. Renata has many more opportunities, however.)
The mirror has gotten a little love on the story-side of things, as well. When the PC notices body changes in the morning, there will be new scenes available in the mirror for checking out those changes. Additionally, there are now passages commenting on identity milestones when approaching the mirror.
Those are some of the notable changes, but there are lots of other changes, too, so here’s the bullet-list:
Additions/Changes:
- New meeting events for Renata, May, and Joan.
- New mirror sequences for reaching gender identity levels.
- New mirror sequences for checking out new body changes.
- Joan visual overhaul + additional TF stages.

- Did a quick trial of a new method for character sprite tinting with the bonfire, evening, and club events. If it works well, I may see about getting it automated based on time and location.
- Adding some missing graphics to poolside scene with Scarlet, Dan, and Steve.
- Added encounter tracking to NPC class and scene-playing code to help with phone system.
- Added location and time-of-day tags to event class. Requires new saves, but should add flexibility to phone system.
- Upgraded phone system to be more “realistic.” (PC won’t know if NPC is available until *after* attempting to call them.)
- Rework of some Cyn makeover quests to allow for access to haircuts and new clothes for PCs not playing through that storyline. (Appears to be having issues, though…)
- Added basic structure to allow mini-events during free-time activities.
- Partial overhaul of character selection code during free-time activities to prevent weirdness with mini events.
Fixes:
- Fixed major flaw in the function for finding valid events that was preventing mini-events from populating properly.
- Fixed stupid error that was preventing alternate placeholder endings from playing.
- Added back the “caught snooping” morning sequence that was lost in the code revision. You can work for Reika again.
- Fixed issue with wardrobe menu not appearing (hopefully).
Known issues:
- Calling Cynthia to schedule haircuts and request new clothes doesn’t work properly.
- The club bar background sometimes covers character images (Gabby sprite is often missing).
- It appears to be possible to meet Renata twice?
- Not all body changes have mirror messages yet; in particular, higher sizes or size reductions.
